Rural Economy Planning Toolkit

Leicestershire Rural Partnership (LRP)

Rose Regeneration has produced a pioneering online Toolkit to help businesses, communities and planning professionals to think about the role of the planning system in the rural economy. The Toolkit, which comes in a series of interactive PDFs, was developed with Rural Innovation and C4G. Chair of the LRP, and County Council cabinet member, Lesley Pendleton said; "our rural areas need to strike a balance between protecting their best features and allowing sympathetic development to take place to ensure there are enough jobs to protect the future. That's why we have launched this online Toolkit, to give people a helping hand in negotiating the planning system".

Completed projects include:

An Impact Assessment Tool and e-learning Course on Rural Affordable Housing (for the Homes and Communities Agency).
